Background
I think I'm not the only one who created a cool
Well, I created a new Windows Live ID and started using it for everything - except my Xbox Live account was still connected to my old email address. And that's the point. When I bought my Windows Phone 7 I associated it with the Windows Live ID which was connected to my Xbox Live account - the old one.
In the end I wanted my Xbox Live account being associated to my new Windows Live ID which I want to use on my Windows Phone. After some investigation I found out how I was able to do that without lossing anything. I kept my applications and games I purchased as well as all Microsoft Points!
Now let's re-associate our Xbox Live account and finally change the Windows Live ID on our Windows Phone!
Solution
prereq
1) Xbox
2) Windows Phone 7 + Connection Cable for your PC/Notebook
3) Internet Connection
4) Patience
todo
To clear up at the beginning:
OldID - the old ID with funny email address
NewID - the new ID we want to use on the Windows Phone
TempID - the temporary ID
First of all synchronize your phone with Zune. Having that done, we continue with the Xbox part - which can be the painfullest one.
*** before performing step 1 and 2, please try performing step 3 - if it doesn't work because the NewID is already associated to an Xbox Live account (which might have been created by visiting xbox.com)
Xbox
1) Create a new temporary Windows Live ID (TempID) by visiting any Live ID website (e.g. outlook.com, hotmail.com, ...) DO NOT VISIT xbox.com afterwards with this Live ID!
2) Turn on your Xbox and sign in with your NewID. Navigate to the very right, open the Settings and select Account. After that open Account Security and select Change Windows Live ID. First enter the data of your NewID and move it to the TempID.
3) On your Xbox, sign in with your OldID. Navigate to the very right, open the Settings and select Account. After that open Account Security and select Change Windows Live ID. First enter the data of your OldID and move it to the NewID.
4) One error message might appear saying your account can't be changed now. If it's not the error message saying you must wait 30 days, just retry and it should work.
WP7
Well your Xbox Live account has now successfully been transfered to your NewID. Now take your Windows Phone 7 and reset it to factory settings. You can find this menu by opening the Settings and scroll down to About. At the bottom there's a button saying Reset your phone. Go on and confirm with Yes.
After your phone has rebooted, choose Custom setup and sign in with your NewID when you are asked to. When finished your Windows Phone 7 looks like it did on the first day - so clean :-)
Next open the Xbox Live channel on your WP7 and let it update each view. Having that done I suggest connecting to a WLAN in case your cellular data connection is not fast enough. Also, please do not try downloading applications or games you've purchased before - you'll only get error messages - that's OK for now. Please go on and change all phone settings to whatever you're comfortable with and get a coffee or two. It seems that it takes some time until all licences have been transfared to your NewID.
While waiting for everything being transfered you can resync with Zune. First please open Zune without having your phone connected to your PC and change the Windows Live ID you're signed in into Zune. Now you can connect your WP7 with your PC and wait until Zune recognizes your phone as a new one. Just navigate through the wizard. Afterwards go to Settings which is located at the top of Zune. Then click Phone which should already be selected (upper-left corner) and navigate to the Sync options screen. Choose what you want to resync and hit OK
When everything done, try downloading any purchased applications. You'll need to open the application in the Market Place and hit buy. After a short verification the system recognizes you've already purchased this application and asks you to install it again.
Well that was it - hope everything worked for you. Please leave a comment whether it worked for you or you need additional help!

Note
This solution worked for me without any problems. However, I can't guarantee this works for you too without having troubles or anything not transfered correctly.
